Fear is good

Are you paralyzed with fear? That’s a good sign. Fear is good. Like self-doubt, fear is an indicator. Fear tells us what we have to do. Remember our rule of thumb: The more scared we are of a work or calling, the more sure we can be that we have to do it.

Resistance is experienced as fear; the degree of fear equates the strength of Resistance. Therefore, the more fear we feel about a specific enterprise, the more certain we can be that that enterprise is important to us and to the growth of our soul. — Steven Pressfield on fear and the creative process

What funny timing! The Squam Workshop details came out today and I was just mulling over how, as much as I want to go (and we're planning for me to go), it's a little scary in some ways (although it would have been a piece of cake 15 years ago, except for the paying-for-it bit). Funny.

good timing, then. :) hope the workshop is wonderful. breaking out of the routine always seems to be mentally invigorating, don't you think?
