Sometimes, if your life doesn't seem significant enough, it's not your life that isn't significant enough ... it's your response to your life. — Theodore Roethke

I think I need to write this on a wall in my home. In big bold letters, and someplace where I will see it several times a day :)

puts me in mind of my morning's reading from Lyanda Lynn Haupt:

"...we become alive and embodied in our attention to life's detail."

Last night I was reminded of the value of my (house)work. I was thinking that all I managed to accomplish all day was dinner and even that was a struggle. Just as we were sitting down, our doorbell rang. A friend of my husband's, whose home life is currently chaotic, was at the door. He sat down and ate with us, and suddenly the significance of the family evening meal was incredibly clear to me.

That's a lovely quote for meditation. I came across this quote by George Bernard Shaw recently and at a time when I've been doing a lot of thinking about making some major life changes to make our dreams a reality. I think it's fitting for project learners.

"People are always blaming their circumstances for what they are. I don't believe in circumstances. The people who get on in this world are people who get up and look for the circumstances they want, and if they can't find them, make them."
