Resolution 5 - Quit

Published by Lori Pickert on January 10, 2011 at 02:28 PM

Quit being so hard on yourself.

Quit measuring yourself against other people.

Quit making excuses.

Quit thinking it’s all or nothing.

Quit waiting for the perfect time.

Quit sabotaging yourself.

Quit being defensive.

Quit giving up.

Quit wasting time on things that don’t fit with the life you want.

Quit. So you can start.

Resolution 1 — It’s not all or nothing.

Resolution 2 — Break it down.

Resolution 3 — Take real baby steps.

Resolution 4 — Use the upward spiral.

Resolution 5 — Quit.

Can I put this one on the bathroom mirror? They all sound like me, and our family.

Totally unrelated to this post, but I read this article today and thought I would shoot it your way. I would love to hear your thoughts on it (not because I agree with the article--quite the opposite!!). The article is"Why Chinese Mothers Are Superior" and is from the WSJ.

These resolution posts are my favorite thing I've read of yours, not to diminish the powerful effect of PBH :) Thank you for sharing these words of wisdom. Perfect for reflecting on the New Year.

two and 1/2 years plus later I have found this blog the perfect time for me, just what I need right now. I had to translate each QUIT into a BE....

BE Loving yourself
BE You
BE Just Doing It!
BE Trying
BE, NOW is the time!
BE Trying Again!
BE Aligning your life with your deepest values
